Explore the process of designing, carving, and printing your own woodblock to create bold and expressive black-and-white artwork. No prior experience is required, and all materials are included.

Meet the Mentor: Somnath Sarkar 

Led by Somnath Sarkar, a multidisciplinary artist and renowned printmaker, this workshop provides expert guidance at every step. Somnath holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bengal Fine Arts College (2017) and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (2020). He has showcased his work in various prestigious exhibitions, including the 63rd National Exhibition of Art (2023) and the Tirana International Graphics Biennale (2022). His accolades include the LKK Award of Photography (2022), and he completed an art residency at Dot Line Foundation, Mumbai, in 2024. Somnath continues to actively exhibit and conduct workshops across India and abroad, bringing a wealth of experience to this workshop.
