You’ll be guided through the process of using ink, paper, and printmaking tools to create unique monotype prints. This workshop encourages creative freedom and experimentation, helping you to produce artwork that is truly your own.

Meet the Mentor: Somnath Sarkar 

The workshop will be led by Somnath Sarkar, a renowned printmaker and multidisciplinary artist. Somnath holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bengal Fine Arts College (2017) and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (2020). He has exhibited in prestigious shows, including the 63rd National Exhibition of Art (2023) and the Tirana International Graphics Biennale (2022). Among his many accolades is the LKK Award of Photography (2022). Somnath completed an art residency at Dot Line Foundation, Mumbai, in 2024, and he continues to conduct workshops across India and internationally, sharing his vast expertise in printmaking.
