Meet the Mentor: Anant Nikam Â
Anant Nikam, born in 1962 in Ambajogai, India, is a celebrated printmaker and educator. A graduate of the Government School of Art, Aurangabad (1982), Nikam has showcased his work in numerous prestigious solo and group exhibitions across India and internationally—including venues in Glasgow, Seoul, and France’s Triennale Mondiale De L’Estampe.
His excellence in printmaking has earned him recognition from esteemed institutions such as the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition, Bharat Bhavan International Biennial, and Lalit Kala Akademi. With a teaching career spanning over three decades at Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai (1986–2020), and involvement in global exchange programs and workshops, Nikam brings an exceptional depth of experience and insight to this workshop.
Currently, he continues his practice as an independent artist based in Mumbai.
