Meet the Mentor: Somnath Sarkar 

This workshop will be led by Somnath Sarkar, a renowned printmaker and multidisciplinary artist with extensive experience in the field. Somnath holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bengal Fine Arts College (2017) and a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya (2020). His work has been exhibited in prominent shows such as the 63rd National Exhibition of Art (2023) and the Tirana International Graphics Biennale (2022). He has also received several accolades, including the LKK Award of Photography (2022), and completed an art residency at Dot Line Foundation, Mumbai, in 2024. Somnath regularly conducts workshops across India and abroad, sharing his deep knowledge of printmaking.
